Description

This position will consist of driving MNI Direct owned, leased, or rented non-CDL (GVW) trucks in support of plant delivery and purchase throughout the Southeastern area (Primarily the Upstate of SC). When driving tasks are not scheduled, other tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, nursery maintenance, and operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries and pick-up operations, and represent the MNI Direct brand in a professional manner
  • Safely operate MNI Direct owned, leased, and rented vehicles and MHE
  • Perform required before, during, and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
  • Maintain required driver’s logs and necessary papers in accordance with DOT laws
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

Education

  • High school diploma

Required Skills & Training

  • Valid drivers license and active health card required
  • Ability to accurately maintain and submit driver logs
  • Ability to become certified to operate MHE
  • One or more year’s safe driving record
  • Ability to find locations on a map or other device and plot a course to those locations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with any and all business associates

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F), early mornings
  • Ability to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold
